| Huh? I haven't had problems with asthma since I was a child and certainly never this bad. It was usually while exercising I'd notice it, take a puff on my inhaler, and syria be on my way. Not this time. She had the nurse give me an albuterol treatment via oxygen mask and wait a bit. After another listen, I still sounded like a bad pipe organ. One more treatment. This time, it syria sounded about 70% cleared. She sent me home with a whole list of prescriptions. Oral steroids - methylprednisilone - for a week. Inhaled powdered steroids - Advair - for 4 months. Albuterol for daily use PRN and just for good measure, a 5 day course of Zithromax, a ridiculously strong antibiotic which has already destroyed my stomach. I need yogurt and in massive quantities. So, no trip home this weekend. Guess it'll have to be next month. I'm glad I feel all this in the middle of time I don't have class, which doesn't reconvene until Thursday. |
