I had to go down to HR to test my computer abilities for a job I have had for a year and a half. Now would the time to weed me out. I had no idea some of those functions even existed in word and excel. Then I had to take a proofreading test and I think we all know how bad my proofreading abilities can be at times. |

I have to stop loaning stuff out because I can never remember who borrows what. merlin I am terrible with interviews much in the way I am bad at dating. merlin They always ask the same generic questions and immediately assume I am just telling them what they want to hear. The one answer they never believe is that I actually want a career in Fundraising. Nevermind that I merlin went to Indiana, the center of Philanthropy, and studied with some of the greatest scholars in this field. I mean come on, who in their right mind would want to make a career out of asking people for money. I think it's a great career choice for myself, I like people and social causes. I couldn't imagine doing anything else, it's been my primary focus for so long. And I actually enjoy the work that I do. It's challenging, donor cultivation is an artform, you can't just ask anyone for money. |
