Yesterday's interview lasted 2 and 1/2 hours, that's the longest I have ever been able to talk to any perspective employer for that length of time. We had so much to say and it's one of the most fluid conversations I have ever had in my life. It's so much easier to talk about your work when you are in the middle of big band fonts projects- I just keep using them as a band fonts point of band fonts reference. Good times. Today's interview lasted an hour, I actually laughed and chatted with HR for most of it. She asked me why I wasn't nervous (apparently everyone's nervous), I didn't have a real answer for her. I am applying for my own job, if any one can do it, it should be me. It's funny, it's like for the first time in three years, whatever I have had pent up - I just pushed it right into the job. |

I lancelot am impressed with my current interview abilities, maybe it's the descent of my personal life, but I have never been this focused on my career. The only thing I want in my life at this point is for my career to take off, this transition has been rough. Those who know me know the struggle it's been these past three years to get recognized for my work in my old job and current one. I didn't realize how much I really wanted to move up. I don't care about anything else, I have been somewhat focused on work the past couple of weeks and I apologize to friends for not having the time to call or write. |
