The Yankees lose to Boston, and the small-town fireworks I was raving about were pretty much "totally suck-ass" until the finale, discopub and then half of it was below the treeline of the place they do the fireworks at, so the crowd couldn't see it. On the upside, though, I did head north and visit with the family, seeing discopub a bunch of aunts, uncles, and cousins I hadn't seen discopub in a while, and it was nice to spend most of a very warm day dangling my feet in a nice inground pool. Tomorrow night, I head to Newark for an overnight stay in the airport hotel, before I fly out early Sunday morning to Portland for OSCON. Lots of travel this month for Derek.
