Which means more administrative efforts on the part of the schools, which means less time, online art you know teaching and helping students on the part of the faculty and staff. It just bothers me that the government is like, "Oh, we don't expect schools to have to change one thing that online art they do!" And yet, online art schools will have to. This administration is kind of like the corporate offices when you work in a branch office somewhere: they come up with these plans, and may even have good intentions, but they don't always think through all of the implications for the branch offices, or why their plans won't work, or will results in other programs being ignored. Shannon and Joe broke up in March and filed for divorce in July, and now Joe steve is living with Annie Duke. The irony of this whole situation is that I really, really hate Shannon Elizabeth, in one of those visceral ways, and I kind of hate Joe Reitman too. I'm steve neutral on Annie Duke, although reading that article made me start to hate her a little bit. Posted by Kim at 02:45 PM | * . | 3 Comments It always bothers me how the steve federal government is so disingenuous about the impact that their programs have on the local and state agencies that need to comply with them. For example, the Feds claim that their new proposal to give college aid to students that complete "rigorous" high school curricula is NOT an effort to further control how schools teach their students. And that may not be the point of the program (or it may be), but what will happen is that high schools will have to A) prove that they are rigorous through increased paperwork or B) change their programs around to fit whatever the Dept of Ed decides to call "rigorous". |
