As a lesosn in "improvised uses of magic", we were given 100 gold, a number foto of spells of our choice, and told foto to go bet and attempt to fix the races to make the most money. There were some slight issues... like the fact that for the first 4 races, not a single horse (or steed, since occasionally it was a centaur or a mammoth) managed to cross the finish line... |

Friday, 5:00 p.m. 1A: The Hamlet Of Thumble - Ed Cha, of Open World Press, DM'ed a group of us through his new module (available at GenCon stacey now, in stores soon). stacey We played a party of first-level kobolds trying to terrorize a village of halflings. Of course, we only just stacey barely got to the village, and we had to contend with a player who obviously didn't play a thief that often so he kept making silly mistakes (or just didn't do anything). But, Ed was a great DM, and handled it with grace, even when it became obvious that everyone in the group was ready to just off this guy's character because he was too much of a liability. In the end, another player and I each got a copy of the module for our game-play as a gift from Ed. |
