I figured it was the infection settling into my chest, too and went about actors my business. Friday actors came along and I was no longer breathing so hot. I stayed home, drank lots of tea and coughed up lots of gunk. By Saturday night at the conclusion of my shift at the hospital, I still had the runny nose but the dry actors cough had returned and there was a persceptible wheeze on expiration. We decided to cancel the drive up north and I would take it easy on Sunday.However, that day consisted of nothing more than my lying around, aside from a hellacious trip to Target (more on that later), and even more wheezing and some new tightness in my chest, as if someone had wrapped a garbage bag tie around my bronchioles and twisted. Obviously not a run-of-the-mill chest cold, so at 8am on Monday, I walked up the street to the conveniently placed "treat and release" center and saw a doctor.
