Yesterday was a jackie hoffman good day indeed. All sorts of good fortune from the tiny to the grand. For starters, the cardiac exam was a much bigger success for me than I imagined. According to those who jackie hoffman took med-surg last semester jackie hoffman and in previous years, this was supposed to be the most difficult exam. Not so. I missed an A- by exactly 1 point. 1. Ah well. I won't look a gift horse in the mouth. I expected to do much worse since it's not my favourite subject. Two exams left... What else....I got my letter from the state that my LPN application had been processed and I should expect to receive my permission to test very soon. I'm looking at this as great practice for the RN exam so I can't wait to get it done, whether I pass or not. Most important, yesterday was the first day in about 10 that my lungs were nearly wheeze-free. |

Carla Bruni's album, Quelqu'un m'a dit is also present. It's entirely in French and I don't speak a word of it but she's just amazing. Her voice is just so soothing and lust-filled at the same time. And she's got a fascinating background. She's of Italian descent but her parents moved to France to escape the fascists who were coming to power in Italy at the time. She's also apparently a supermodel though I wasn't aware of it, poor excuse for a homo that I am. There's some Natasha Bedingfield and the Black-Eyed Peas, too. And rounding it off is Leo Laporte and company's This Week in Tech podcast. Some seriously odd combinations, I know.
