I spend most of my year planning the 3 anything events that take place during this time frame. St. Patricks Day I always do this holiday in style, usually I take off work or get off early at 2pm or something. This year is a little uncertain because if I take off I need a partner in crime to join me for the day. Drinking on St. Paddy's day requires a certain amount of finesse, you have to really pace yourself to make it through the day. It's somewhat easier because usually I will drink Guiness, which never really makes me that drunk. I have had some fucking fantastic St. Paddy's days in New York. 2004: I got invited to the Irish Embassy, top shelf liquor, beautiful mansion, clear view of the parade, and all the food you can eat. |
