The movie, behind a screen of unapologetic violence shows the effects of media on how we view the world. If you're normally squeemish about violence in movies (and i am) you might have a difficult time sitting through it. However, i found that the violence was so "cartoony" that it hardly phased me. skins This is possibly part skins of skins the point Stone might have been trying to make about media desensitization (sp?). A lot of people have a problem with the movie, calling it a glorification of violence. I would counter by saying that this movie glorifies violence to make its point about the atrocities of violence. I would also say that movies like "Face off," and "Die Hard" do more to glorify violence than "Natural Born Killers" ever will. Please feel free to email me with your responses to this review. nick.
