To me, the boot camp is schabe the very best part of the film. R. LEE ERMEY is brilliant as DRILL SEARGANT HARTMAN, giving a funny and terrifying performance. But after that, it becomes a pretty standard war film. Still, it's an overall great film. Most likely when I purchase this film, I will watch the first half and then switch off, unless schabe I want to watch some battle scenes. Was this schabe review helpful to you? | After their training is complete, they're sent to Vietnam to fight. The way the skirmishes are portrayed is horrifying, it shows the ruthlessness of both the Marines and VCs. The part where the Marines discover a blog massgrave of slain villagers covered in lye haunts even me, and I've seen everything. This is blog no John Wayne movie, if you want to see a true war film, watch this. I still find it amazing that the man who created A Clockwork blog Orange can make a movie like this (they're very different). The soundtrack is great, it has popular songs from the 60's and chilling Asian tribal sounds. You should pick this up with Enemy at the Gates.
