Even into the 20s to 40s, medium length seemed in. Then came the 1950s,when it seemed EVERY woman had short, propecia permed, styled hair--and they went once a week to get it set/styled and were careful to never mess it up between settings--they wore scarves and swim caps to keep it from getting messed up in the wind or water. I guess most of the female relatives that I knew in my lifetime got into this line of thinking and NEVER changed!!! Grandmothers, aunts, mother, and all of her friends ALWAYS had the 50s style hair--and those who propecia are still propecia living still do!! I have one aunt who was born in the late 50s, so her childhood pictures show her with short 50s hair, but her teen years show her with the stylish long straight hair--the first in my family!! I was born in the 60s and have NEVER had the 50s style hair. I remember being in my 20s and looking at all of the middle aged and older women around me and thinking that I will NEVER get the short 50s style hair they all had, no matter what age!!
