As readers might recall, I flipped out over the first season of The starting over at 50 Donald’s The Apprentice, calling the show starting over at 50 the best job-training program in the country. The portrayal of New York as a sort of Darwinian fairly starting over at 50 tale, cutthroat and beautiful at the same time, the group dynamics, and the wicked Omarosa--it just couldn’t have been better. I found myself respecting Trump, who inevitably made the right decision about who got to hear the dreaded words "You’re fired!" The whole show conveyed lessons in how to deal with people and what makes a good businessperson. It was unbeatable. Well, Other Charlotte, I agree with you that this year’s Apprentice is a warmed up version of last year’s show, and I must add that I don’t feel that I enjoyed it as much as you did--there were fewer lessons in office behavior, and for the first time I thought Trump fired the wrong person. |

If it’s a older fuck smear to call for CBS to be accountable, just call this morning’s blog older fuck a smear. Here are some articles you won’t want to miss: John Podhoretz in the Weekly Standard explains that Rathergate isn’t the first time the sacred duty crowd at CBS has misled the public in a big way. older fuck Matthew Continetti charts the interaction of CBS producers and officials from the Democratic National Committee and Kerry campaign in the "reporting" of the story. And columnist John Leo addresses the question of why CBS ran with a story on which they hadn’t adequately reported: "Maybe CBS feared losing its big scoop. More likely it was just reluctant to come in behind the new wave of retaliatory Bush-bashing instead of leading it. "Another factor is the familiar peril of groupthink. If your newsroom is filled with people who think and vote the same way and who are convinced that Bush is a malevolent character who must be stopped, you are more likely to run through red lights than you would be if a similar half-baked story was about to be sprung on someone you cared about." |
