Too often filmmakers feel directors freaks

james gandolfini, text, strange, alameida, karina arroyave, iraq, humor magazine, dato bakhtadze, freaks, gothic pics, omani, jordan, aesthetics, robert b. weide, This contrived social flick is supposed to get people talking about directors race and social conflict. Forget it. I thought the whole conflct-race-religion delimma, as superficial directors as it was, failed to deliver anything worth the price of the DVD. Superficial, silly, and predictable. I will give it a one star as I could clean my office and go through my files and not miss a beat in the movie. Sorry, I just did not find this movie worthy of my time, let alone an award. However, my office directors is cleaner. Too often filmmakers feel it necessary to show all of the tricks they can do, whether it serves the story or not. Haggis does show off some tricks, but they don't feel intrusive. If it sounds like I'm freaks gushing, freaks I am. "Crash" is a great film. This is the type of film that should humble other freaks filmmakers when they realize that someone has written and created something so great. How can they ever compare. Maybe "Crash" will spur artists to create more great films.
