| I'm also not particularly easygoing on those who have been told repeatedly what they need to do to manage their health problems but refuse to do so. Patient one was story a mid-40s man with HIV/AIDS who'd been admitted for unexplained N/V/D (nausea, vomiting and diarrhea) for the last couple weeks. He was admitted overnight before my shift started. A very thin man, it was clear the disease was taking its toll. His labs show his viral load in excess of 700,000 and his CD4 is at about 95. |
