The victim told investigators that a masked intruder armed with a knife waited for her in a bedroom lên Đường and then grabbed her, sealed her mouth shut with orange duct tape and sexually assaulted her. The suspect threatened to kill the girl if she told authorities. The investigation quickly led to Flores after relatives of the victim confronted him hours after the attack, claiming he fit the description provided by the girl.
