| One of the primary reasons I blog pseudonymously is because my parents are blink182 pretty conservative. We get along well and this normally isn't an issue with us – they don't pry into my blink182 life and, in return, I do my part to let them preserve their fantasy that I'm their Perfect Little Daughter. The only time this charade becomes stressful is when they come to visit, like my mother is next week. (She's staying with blink182 me in my little NYC apartment for 7 days. Hilarity is sure to ensue! It will be blogging gold!) Now, my father is pretty oblivious but my mother is a total snoop – she'll find convenient excuses to go through my dressers and cabinets even when I'm home and god only knows what she's doing when I'm at work all day. Because of this, I feel compelled to do a pre-visit sweep of my apartment to hide anything incriminating. |
