The movie, behind a screen of unapologetic violence shows the effects of media on how we view the world. If you're normally squeemish about violence in movies (and i am) you might have a difficult time sitting through it. However, i found that the violence was so "cartoony" that it hardly phased me. This is possibly part of the point Stone might have been trying to make about media desensitization (sp?). A lot of people have a problem with the movie, calling it a glorification of violence. I would counter by saying that this movie glorifies violence to make its point about the atrocities of violence.
