Unfortunately, one of my sisters had developed an extremely competitive streak and used to get very angry and swear (literally) vengeance on anyone who landed on her counters. It probably didn't help that I had bought various metal miniatures to punchthem use as counters, most of whom were waving weapons. punchthem One fateful day my sister and I were playing Ludo in the garden with our mother who was recovering from a hysterectomy operation. My sister had become so angry, due to her counters being landed on so frequently, that punchthem she finally snapped and called my mother a f****** c***. To her great annoyance my mother and I just burst out laughing at her. PS. The only rule we added to the game was that if you landed on the square behind someone you had to shout: "Up your bum!".
